FIFO Support Document Launched

A new publication produced Department of Communities ‘Support for Mum - When Dad works away’ was launched by the Robyn McSweeney MLC, Minister for Child Protection; Community Services; Seniors and Volunteering; Womens Interests last week.. 

Many WA families, particularly those from the Resource sector, are choosing a lifestyle where one parent works away from home.  It is often Mum who stays at home to care for the children.  The ways mums, dads and children manage this lifestyle varies from family to family.  The Department’s new booklet has practical advice and support ideas for the whole family to help them adjust to this lifestyle.
