Attraction and Retention of Women in the WA Resources Sector Report
Dec 3, 2008
The Attraction and Retention of Women in the Western Australian Resources Sector document and tools were launched on Thursday 27th November.
The number of women working in the resources sector is gradually
increasing, however their representation is still significantly
lower than the national average. The Western Australian resource
sector has a commitment to see more women being employed in its
workforce.
As part of this commitment, CME has commissioned a
report and three practical tools (useful for management and
supervisors) to support the attraction and retention of women to
the Western Australian resource sector. An important feature
of this report is a set of positive practice principles, which can
be utilised to guide further development of resource companies'
diversity.
