Women in Resources Awards

The Women in Resources Awards will be held on 8 March 2010. It will recognise individuals and organisations working to build a world-class industry which provides attractive career opportunities and develops people's capacity, including enhancing recognition and participation of women in the sector.
The three nomination categories are:
OUTSTANDING WOMAN IN THE WA RESOURCES SECTOR: This category recognises an outstanding woman's contribution to the WA resources sector, her company and/or community.
COMPANY INNOVATION INITIATIVE: This category recognises a company that has implemented an innovative initiative, policy or practice which demonstrates successful attraction, selection, promotion or retention of women within the resources sector.
WOMEN IN RESOURCES CHAMPION: This category recognises an individual, male or female, who has encouraged and supported the attraction, selection, promotion or retention of women within the resources sector.
Prizes include:
- a trophy designed by a Western Australian artisan
- a framed certificate
- media coverage and industry recognition
